A very fine oil painting depicting figures in a wooded landscape with dappled sunlight shining through the trees by Scottish landscape painter John Henderson Tarbet.  Signed lower right.

Condition

In very fine condition.  The canvas laid onto board.  Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang.  

Artist Information

John Henderson Tarbet was a Scottish landscape painter.  He lived in Edinburgh and married the artist Christian Peddie.  He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water Colours, the Walker Gallery and elsewhere.  He died in 1938.
