A very fine early 18th century portrait of a gentleman from the studio of Sir Godfrey Kneller.  The painting is one of several important early portraits to come to us from a very good private collection, it has long been in that private collection and has not been offered for sale on the open market for several decades.

A very fine late 17th century portrait of a lady, half length in mourning dress in a feigned oval from the circle of Sir Godfrey Kneller - possibly a Kneller studio work.  Clearly the work of a first rate portrait painter with the hand close to Kneller.
