Artist Information
Ernst Liebermann was a German portrait, figure and landscape painter. Liebermann studied 1890-93 at the Berlin academy under J. Scheurenberg. After travelling extensively, among others to Paris and Italy, he settled in Munich in 1897. He worked as illustrator, among others for the Jugendstil magazine 'Jugend' before turning to painting. Liebermann exhibited regularly in the Munich Glaspalast and was awarded a medal in 1913.
