In very fine condition. The canvas not lined and with a single patched repair with corresponding restoration. Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang.
Artist Information
Árpád Romek was a still life painter and amateur magician. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Budapest. He studied magic under Dr. Lenard beginning in 1919. He specialty was comedy magic and he was a member of the Magyar Amateur Magusok Egyesulete (M. A. M. E., The Hungarian Amateur Magicians). He contributed some effects to the Sphinx. He is known for his table top still life works but also painted some landscape and figural works.
