A very fine pair of oil paintings depicting river scenes by Edmund Gustavus Muller. The paintings have a great provenance having been purchased by the previous private collector at Christie's in 2003 for £6,462.00 GBP - a screenshot of the Christie's auction result is shown in the photograph section and the Christie's catalogue is still available online and the Christie's website. Prior to the Christie's sale the painting have also been with William Permain, London and M. Newman Ltd, London with gallery labels verso. Each signed and dated lower right.
Condition
Both in very fine condition. Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang.
Artist Information
Edmund Gustavus Muller came from an artistic family in Bristol, with his father serving as the curator of the Bristol Museums and Art Gallery. His brother, William James Muller, was also a talented artist.
