A very fine oil painting on board depicting a small cottage on the road to Mount Snowdon in North Wales by important 20th century Welsh landscape painter Charles Wyatt Warren. Signed lower left.

Artist Information
Charles Wyatt Warren was a landscape painter who was born in Caernarvon in 1908. Wales. He attended Grammar School there, completed external studies through London University but in art was self-taught. He was a member of Arts Society of Paddington, Caernarvon Art Group, and a founder member and former secretary of NWG. Showed RCamA, Denbighshire Art Society, Royal National Eisteddfod, ROI, extensively in Wales and abroad. Had a solo show at London Welsh Association, 1960, some 50 solos following in Britain and North America. Did commissioned work for North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Brussels and University College of North Wales, Bangor. Gwynedd County Council and CASW hold examples. His style is comparable to the leading artist of the Welsh School, Sir Kyffin Williams.
