A superb example of the work of Charles Sillem Lidderdale depicting a country girl in a landscape.  Signed with the artist's monogram lower left.  

Condition

Professionally lined and conserved in the late 20th century.  There is an area of restoration apparent to the background to the left of the girl's neck.  Otherwise good.  Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang.

Artist Information

Charles Sillem Lidderdale was a British artist whose work often focused on portraits of young women in outdoor settings. Lidderdale exhibited 36 paintings at the Royal Academy between 1856 and 1893.
