Artist Information
Arthur William (sometimes listed as Walker) Redgate was a Nottingham based landscape painter. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Society of British Artists and elsewhere. Most of his paintings feature rustic figures or farm-workers and occasionally pure landscapes. There are paintings by the artist in Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Wollaton Hall and Castle Donington Museum.
