A superb example of the work of Charles Sillem Lidderdale depicting a country girl in a landscape. The painting has a wonderful provenance having been sold by Phillips for £2,600 in 1996. Signed with the artist's monogram and dated (18)'81' lower left.
Condition
In very fine condition. The canvas not lined, torn, patched or repaired. Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang. Presented in a good quality 'Watts' style frame.

Charles Sillem Lidderdale was a British artist whose work often focused on portraits of young women in outdoor settings. Lidderdale exhibited 36 paintings at the Royal Academy between 1856 and 1893.
